beautiful carnage

Humes River

some old and abandon places i go into have life and history written on the walls, you can a breathe story.
it somehow feels healthy.
then there are places like this cabin. set along a beautiful river these buildings housed
families on vacations and travelers on their way through.
i got very excited about the curtains.

when i walked into the cabin i received this negative feeling, almost pornographic. it felt left and neglected,
abused somehow. it felt cold and i didn't stay long but i did want to record it for just these reasons.

this is a story of how some
things do not age well.

sunday blue with a dash of cash

i wonder if you loved me back in april
when johnny cash spoke
and patsy cline sang those songs
to us as we sat up in webwood
holding hands at a table covered in plastic
how at home i felt
did you?

it’s a question i don’t ask myself too much anymore
but it’s sunday
hard hard sunday
